Exploring XR for a Sustainable Future at Immersive Tech Week

This December we were thrilled to be part of the conversation at Immersive Tech Week in the Netherlands, where XR’s potential for sustainability took center stage. Moderated by Joost Raessens, who kicked off his presentation with a key question, “How can we utilise XR for a sustainable future?”, the roundtable discussion highlighted innovative EU initiatives and sought expertise to greenify the XR and gaming industries.

The roundtable consisted of 3 themes to discuss:

👐 How to stimulate collaboration and dissemination?
🔮 Future prospects and innovation?

Over three engaging rounds, participants tackled these questions, culminating in group presentations that shared invaluable insights and actionable ideas. The energy in the room was palpable — a collective drive to explore XR’s role in building a more sustainable future.
